70 Minutes

Danse en Papier is a moving and often humorous journey into the lived realities of exile and migration. Through words and movement, the performance explores the reasons for departure, the hardships of the journey, the loss of identity upon arrival, the fear of expulsion, and life inside detention centers.

Set in a world made entirely of paper and cardboard, the piece unfolds in a deliberately fragile and absurd environment. Here, bureaucracy takes center stage: documents, forms, and stamps become more important than human lives themselves. Characters shift seamlessly between spoken text and dance, creating a performance that is accessible, expressive, and deeply human.

The experience begins with an interactive pathway, where the audience is invited into a series of playful yet unsettling situations. Through humor and participation, spectators are guided to feel — from the inside — the confusion, vulnerability, and resilience of those who migrate.

Danse en Papier is not just a performance, but a journey — one that invites us to look beyond paperwork and borders, and to reconnect with the human stories they often erase.
