You Have No Name

You Have No Name is a visceral and ritualistic solo that unfolds like a trance.

The smell of sulfur. The crack of a match. Burnt at both ends.

A Slavic chant rises, almost magically. Like a vestal, the performer lays her heart at the audience’s feet, as if offering it to be examined — to reveal her soul.

Through a near-sacred, ritual dance, the piece exposes the fears, contradictions, and visceral emotions of a woman confronting the idea of motherhood. Beneath the surface, themes of secrecy, violence against women, and unspoken trauma emerge quietly yet powerfully.

In a state of possessed, obsessive trance, images of women from different worlds and different eras appear and collide. Their presence questions what it truly means to be a woman today — within our society, our bodies, and our inherited histories.

You Have No Name is an intimate and unsettling journey, where vulnerability becomes strength and silence speaks louder than words.
